Cherish the Children

Supporting education and feeding programmes for children in the slums of Nakuru, Kenya.

The school that we current support is Cherish School. This school provides a free education and feeding programme for approximately 100 students living in absolute poverty in the slums of Nakuru, Kenya. With the ongoing support of African Adventures the school now has 4 classrooms, a toilet block, a kitchen, a large dining room and a play area. The next project we are considering is the construction of additional classrooms.

What we do...

FRUIT

Fresh fruit is now delivered to Cherish school to ensure that all children get a piece of fruit at least once a week. This is in addition to the meals provided

MEALS

We support the feeding programme, each month to help ensure that all of the 100+ students get a daily meal

TEACHERS

We provide funds on a monthly basis to ensure that the amazing teachers and cook at Cherish are paid.

BUILDINGS

We provide funds to support the building programme to help the school grow on the now permanent site
