Cherish the Children

Supporting education and feeding programmes for children in the slums of Nakuru, Kenya.

Cherish school provides a free education and feeding programme for approximately 95 students living in absolute poverty in the slums of Nakuru. The school moved to a new site in 2020 and the process of building a permanent school is in progress. With the ongoing support of African Adventures the school now has 4 classrooms, a toilet block, a kitchen, a play area and a dining area which is currently under construction.

What we do...

FRUIT

Fresh fruit is now delivered to Cherish school to ensure that all children get a piece of fruit at least once a week. Tthis is in addition to the meals provided

MEALS

We support the feeding programme, each month to help ensure that all of the 90+ students get a daily meal

TEACHERS

We provide funds on a monthly basis to ensure that the amazing teachers at Cherish are paid regularly

BUILDINGS

We provide funds to support the building programme to help the school grow on the now permanent site
